Hey Fans,
Thought I’d give everyone a little update on what’s currently going on with my current works in progress. The Curse, book one of my new Origin of the Vampires trilogy stands at 51,000 words written to date. Which means I’m about half way through the story’s first draft. It’s slow going on this one because of the research and efforts to re-craft the world into its dystopian future. I’m also having to research topics like how archaeological digs are done, Islamic naming conventions, biblical myths and interpretations, and a bunch of other things.
My goal is to give you a richly crafted world with believable characters. I want you to fall in love with Dr. Jeremiah Banks and Prof. Juan Di Vargas and the rest of the cast, like you did with Kieran and Cory and their families.
Speaking of Kieran and Cory, I’m working on an omnibus edition of their story to be released soon as Legend of the Silver Hunter. It will also include a new short story that picks up a little bit after the epilogue of Hunter. I also have plans for a Christmas short story.
There are notes and a few scattered chapters already written for Lord Hunter, book two in the Origin of the Vampires trilogy. Now that things have settled down on the day job, I expect that I’ll have more time and energy to focus and write.
I’ve also made the decision to expand my market reach by returning to Smashwords.com and joining AllRomance. I’ll still be on Amazon but no longer in the Kindle Unlimited, with the way Amazon pays out for KU being locked in to them is hardly worth it. I’d rather give my fans and their friends more ways to enjoy my writing and a wider market helps to do that. So you’ll find Tracker already for sale on Smashwords.com and all the places it distributes to, like B&N, iBooks, and others, and on AllRomance, where if you search Legend of the Silver Hunter the series comes up quickly.
I love to hear from you either as comments here or on Facebook, or as a review on Amazon, GoodReads, Smashwords.com, or AllRomance. Fan mail is also welcome at kethricwilcoxauthor@gmail.com
